Once an order has been placed by you, you will receive an email confirmation from us.
As the order moves through our system you may receive further email confirmations from us which may include.
  • Processing
  • Packing
  • Dispatched
  • Ready to Collect
N.b. Be sure to check your Junk Folder as some emails may inadvertently be diverted to your Spam/Junk folders by your email handling system.

DELIVERY
Strong’s Country Store uses a variety of delivery couriers to provide best service based upon weight, package dimensions and delivery location.

Delivery options for most products supplied are normally available for you to choose at ‘Check Out’.
These may include; Free Delivery (local to our store), overnight, 48hr, Saturday deliveries or 3 – 5 working day deliveries.

Not all delivery options will be available for all products. This is because the delivery charge is primarily calculated by the total weight within your 'basket'.
Once the weight is over 2kg it automatically defaults to DHL unless you have chosen the 'Click & Collect' option.
  • Orders for items under 2kg and received by 12noon will be dispatched on the same day via Royal Mail 48hr.
  • Orders for items over 2kg and received by 2pm will be despatched on the same working day via DHL overnight (this is the only service available from DHL)
  • Large quantities of heavy or bulky deliveries (eg; typically over 250kg of Feeds, bedding, chaff etc) will be delivered on a pallet using a tail lift lorry with a hand pump truck. (No crane facilities). Unless stated at checkout, all these deliveries will be ‘Economy’ which is 3-5 working days from despatch.
IMPORTANT: We will always make our very best efforts to achieve these commitments and we will communicate with you promptly if there are any issues with your order. During the current Pandemic goods may not always be dispatched as promptly as ordered. This is because our couriers are experiencing unprecedented demand for their services and on occasions are taking longer to deliver goods out to you as well as supplies into us. In addition, suppliers are experiencing reduced availability of a wide range of products (particularly medicine and food products) meaning that items showing as 'in stock' with our suppliers, may on occasions be short supplied to us.
These are circumstances beyond our control but we apologies in advance if this causes any upset or concern.


FREE LOCAL DELIVERY
Delivery is free on all orders over £50 delivered via our own transport.
This ONLY applies to the following Post Codes; YO41, YO42 and YO43. 
Some large, bulky, heavy low value items (such as horse bedding, nets of logs) maybe excluded from this service, unless ordered together with additional lower weight / higher value items. You will be notified at 'Check-Out' if this is the case, or simply give us a call / send us an email and we can let you know.

WEEKEND DELIVERYS
Currently we do not offer timed deliveries, however;
  • All packages weighing 2kg or under will be delivered Monday to Saturday (no Sunday delivery)
  • All packages weighing over 2kg and up to 30kg will be delivered Monday to Friday. Saturday delivery can be specified for these heaver items at checkout but will incur a £10 charge for each package up to 30kg. Every 1kg over 30kg will incur a £0.30p per kilogramme additional charge. This is all calculated at Checkout if a Saturday Delivery Option is available.
All other delivery charges will be notified at checkout.
  
PALLET DELIVERIES
Strong’s Country Store can despatch deliveries in the following sizes and weights;
  • Light Pallet - 2.2m x 1.2m x 1m up to 750kg
  • Half Pallet - 1.1m x 1.2m x 1m up to 500kg
  • Quarter Pallet – 0.8m x 1.2m x 1m up to 250kg
  • Mini Quarter pallet – 0.6m x 1.2m x 1m up to 150kg
Unless otherwise specified, our pallet deliveries will Economy Delivery Service which is 48hr to 72hr for most of UK mainland and has delivery times between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is termed as an ‘open booking’ with no time specified, just the day that you have selected for delivery.
In addition you can choose the following;
  • Weekday AM Delivery Service is available with delivery between 9.00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for an additional charge of £15.00 per pallet.
  • Weekday PM Delivery Service is available with delivery between 5:00 p.m and 9p.m. for an additional charge of £40.00 per pallet.
  • Saturday AM Delivery Service is available with delivery between 9:00 a.m and 2p.m. (latest) for an additional charge of £40.00 per pallet but Economy Delivery orders must be received by Tuesday 3:00 p.m. otherwise it will be delivered the following Saturday. N.B. Saturday deliveries WILL NOT BE BOOKED IN, they will just appear on your chosen day and will be delivered between the hours of 9 a.m and 2.00 p.m.
Premium Next Day Delivery Service is also available, and goods will be delivered the day after despatch and within 1-2 working days of order. This will be delivered on your chosen day between 9.00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You will receive an email to confirm that it has been despatched – it will then be delivered the following day as an ‘open booking’, but you will NOT receive a further call.
If you require a Premium Next Day Delivery Service to be delivered on a Saturday a.m then orders must be received by Tuesday 3:00 p.m. otherwise it will be delivered the following Saturday (or during the following week should you so wish)
In the event of you agreeing to delivery and not being at home during the agreed time period, or there not being a safe place to leave the goods, a redelivery charge of £20.00 per pallet will be made.
 
PALLET DELIVERIES & ACCESS
Delivery drivers are not expected to manoeuvre the pallet beyond the rear of the vehicle but will risk assess each delivery and always be as helpful as possible where conditions allow.
In the event of a delivery not being possible due to poor access, steep incline or gravel drive then the delivery will have to be “kerbside” (i.e. left as near to the property as possible). If this is still not possible on the day, a re-delivery charge of £20 may be imposed.
All goods must be checked on arrival and delivery paperwork signed unless a prior agreement has been made with the delivery company to leave the goods at the property at which point these will be left at the customer’s risk.
On making a bulk purchase, once delivered the pallet on which the product is delivered automatically becomes the property of the purchaser.
Any delivery issues must be reported immediately and we will do our very best to rectify and issues.
