The Smallholder Range Cattle & Calf Mix is an appetising mix suitable from weaning onwards.
• Can be fed as a rearer/finisher or as part of a maintenance diet
• Ideal for the hobby farmer
• Balanced with essential vitamins and minerals

Composition: Barley, Field Beans, Linseed, Wheat Feed, Molasses, Peas, Maize, Calcium Carbonate, Grass Meal, Salt, Yeast

Nutritional Additives (per kg)
Vitamins: Vitamin A (3a672a): 7k iu; Vitamin D3 (3a671) 2k iu; Vitamin E (3a700) 50mg

Instructions for use: Grass, hay or silage will form the basis of the diet. In winter you should allow at least 5-9kg of hay each per day for adult cattle. Additional hay may also be necessary in dry summers when grass is limited. Make any changes slowly and introduce concentrate feed gradually. It is usual to split the total amount into two or three feeds.
Calves. Start by introducing small quantities (115g) of Cattle & Calf Mix and gradually build to about 1.3kg at 8 weeks old. Quantities of mix can be steadily increased to 2.3kg at 6 months.
Young Cattle. Youngstock may need up to 2.5kg of Cattle & Calf Mix per day to keep them in good condition. Take care not to allow youngstock to become overweight.
Dairy Cattle. Feed 1.5kg of Cattle & Calf Mix for every 4.5 litres of milk produced. Fattening Bullocks. Introduce Calf & Cattle Mix at around 12 weeks old.
Feed from 1.25kg per day up to 4.5kg depending on forage, condition, age and breed.
